The Epimetheus Society was founded in July 1989 by Ronald K. Hoeflin, Ph.D.

The Epimetheus Society is a high IQ society, at the 99.997th percentile of intelligence. The purpose of the Society is to facilitate the interaction of individuals with a very high IQ. To this effect, a private discussion group has been set in place:

Membership requires minimum qualifying scores in a variety of tests. Former or inactive members of Epimetheus are eligible to enter the group immediately upon proof of membership. There is no membership fee.
